Subject	Decent price for painting?

Message	I took my Pearl White 93 to a local body shop that a friend's dad owns. (not really my first choice but I know he could do the best work around my area.) Well I had him give me a price quote for the install of a VIS racing "invader" body kit (those that dislike the aggressive look on the z im sorry but I love that kit) and I also asked him about fixing door ding/nicks (I have 1 deep nick / door down to the metal) I also had him figure in the price to sand down my drivers side front finder where a shingle hit it during a big storm last month. would ~1800 be too much , or would it be a good price? the price for paint alone is like 500.... would it be alot smarter to install the kit myself. If so is there any tips or tricks to it that might help me so that I don't have to waste so much money. Thanks. \\// ^_^
